On a JOURNEY with ME

 

This little guy you see in the video is my only nephew (my eldest brother's son). Before he was even born, I already promised to look after him and make him successful. I promised this because my brother struggled a lot for me and my younger brother; during vacations my brother used to go away from home to work. From the little that he used to earn, he bought school accessories for us lessening the burden off of our parents. Further, he has compromised his studies because of the family's unstable financial situation. Due to these reasons and more importantly because he is my brother, I want to do something for him. Since I am only beginning to build my career, I have not been able to help him in any way, hence I promised to raise and bring up his son by myself.  Therefore, he is my responsibility and I will make sure he receives everything that my brother could not.   

  That's my beautiful 48 years old mother back at home. She is an amazing woman like any other; she fought through the most dangerous wars of life, found her way through the most disastrous storms and still going strong with her will and the power to give her kids better lives. I want to give her a relaxing and peaceful life soon, as her only daughter. She deserves all the good things life has to offer. And the kid she is carrying in the photo? She is my 2 years old sister, no no not my parents' of course 😂. She is my mother's younger brother's (that's my uncle) daughter. She is such a sweet soul and I fell in love the moment I met her and bonded. We bonded quicker than anyone else so I said, " Sisterhood is POWERFUL! " 😇 Family is wonderful you know. They might not always be on your side but they will stand by you when no one else does. They cannot leave you; it's like 'until death do us apart' kind of oath. Friendships can end, relationship

 Hello!!! I am Ugyen Choden, currently dealing with life. I am 23 years old and a college going student in one of the two teaching colleges in Bhutan, Paro College of Education.  I am loud, talkative, clumsy, irresponsible at times, easy going, outgoing, an extrovert and basically an ordinary woman from a middle class family. I grew up being loved by my family and especially by my brothers; maybe it was because I was their only sister 😄.
